General terms

  • Prices applicable per kilo with a low charge depending on the type of freight.
  • 5% reduction on Price 1 for shipments of over 45kg.
  • Time limit of check-in of parcel: minimum 1 hour before lift-off.
  • Freight departing from the Loyalty Islands and North: -15 F CFP/kg (Territorial continuity)

Excess baggage :
Your checked-in baggage is transported free of charge in the hold up to a certain weight limit (see conditions below), over that weight you must pay a tax per extra kilo.

Price tax excl. When checking-in, if the parcel is bulkier than is heavy, then the price shall be depend on the volume. Prices apply since the Arrêté n°20102951-/GNC of the 31st of August 2010, determining the prices of Air Caledonie Airline.

*Freight 3 : Transportation under 24h depending on commercial and operational conditions. This price also applies to all dangerous goods.

Baggage allowance :

  • Baggage allowance of 12kg per person on all flights (6kg per child).
  • Baggage allowance of 20kg (10kg per child) for only on fares (YXB). Please note : all fares are subject to availability.
  • Is limited to 32kg.

Yes, at opening hours of freight and they will then be considered as parcel and will be transported depending on availability of flights. Maximum size accepted in the hold (ATR 42/72) is 0.60m x 1.80m x 1.20m and maximum weight is 32kg (whereas baggage is limited at 23kg).
Yes it is obligatory when depositing and reclaiming parcels. It is also needed when paying by cheque.
Depending on commercial and operational constraints and its priority, your parcel will be load on the next flight that presents availability weight and volume-wise.
We have rules of priority for products such as medical products destined for pharmacies or clinics. Also we apply the FIFO (First In, First Out)
They must only be in iceboxes with handles for a better handling, properly sealed so no liquids can leak. Our destinations in the Loyalty Islands and the Isle of Pines are equipped with cold storage. Clients are warned that the cold chain cannot be guaranteed and that their frozen products travel at their own risk.
There are special conditions for the transport of fragile goods. It is the sender’s responsibility to protect his merchandise. We have specific stickers (fragile, perishable, handle with care, etc.).
However, the owner’s responsibility is limited in case of damage.
No, cash, cheques, IDs, documents like car registration documents, driving licenses, passports, ID cards, etc. are not accepted. If the envelope is lost no claim shall be accepted by Air Caledonie.
Dangerous goods are products or objects that present an important risk to safety during transport by air:

  • Explosives like bullets, fireworks, etc.
  • Inflammable gases like butane, propane or compressed gases like diving-bottles, fire extinguishers, etc.
  • Inflammable liquids like polish, paints, fuels, etc.
  • Toxic products like insecticides and poisons
  • Chemical products like household products or products for swimming pools, etc.
  • Corrosives like car batteries, acid, etc.
  • Inflammable solids like lighters, matches, etc.

This list is not exhaustive, ask our agents so as not to put lives of others in danger.

In the case of a false declaration on the nature of products or the discovery of dangerous goods in a parcel or in a baggage, the owner/sender put him/herself at risk of being prosecuted. The goods shall be confiscated and a detailed report shall be sent to the Aviation Civile that can file a complaint.
