Following confirmation that blockades at Wanaham aerodrome have been lifted, Air Calédonie announces the gradual resumption of flights to and from Lifou starting Wednesday, June 3, 2026.
Given the high number of passengers expected to travel in the coming days, the airline encourages affected customers to confirm their bookings as soon as possible and to prioritize online reservations via www.air-caledonie.nc in order to reduce pressure on call center services.
To meet strong travel demand, several additional rotations have been added to the schedule:
Wednesday, June 3:
✈ TY1221: departure from Nouméa La Tontouta at 07:00 – arrival in Lifou Wanaham at 07:40
✈ TY1221: departure from Lifou Wanaham at 08:10 – arrival in Nouméa La Tontouta at 08:50
Thursday, June 4:
✈ TY1223: departure from Nouméa La Tontouta at 10:10 – arrival in Lifou Wanaham at 10:50
✈ TY1224: departure from Lifou Wanaham at 11:20 – arrival in Nouméa La Tontouta at 12:00
Friday, June 5:
✈ TY1221: departure from Nouméa La Tontouta at 07:00 – arrival in Lifou Wanaham at 07:40
✈ TY1222: departure from Lifou Wanaham at 08:10 – arrival in Nouméa La Tontouta at 08:50
✈ TY1223: departure from Nouméa La Tontouta at 15:30 – arrival in Lifou Wanaham at 16:10
✈ TY1224: departure from Lifou Wanaham at 16:40 – arrival in Nouméa La Tontouta at 17:20
Subject to operational developments, the reduced regular flight schedule to Lifou is expected to resume from Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Regarding freight services, opening hours at the Magenta counter remain unchanged for now (Mondays and Thursdays). Further updates will be provided in due course regarding any changes to the service.
