Raid Air Calédonie on the Isle of Pines: Get ready with your running shoes!

As every year, Air Calédonie invites all running enthusiasts to the Air Calédonie Raid on the Isle of Pines. This year, the Raid will take place on October 14th, and registrations are already open!

An extraordinary route and a wonderful weekend of discoveries await!

The 27th edition of the Air Calédonie Raid on the Isle of Pines remains faithful to previous editions by offering a breathtaking course! On Saturday, October 14th, nearly 200 runners will kick off their weekend with a 16.5 km course, allowing them to appreciate the landscapes from the N’Ga Peak and the Kunié beaches. As usual, the departure will be from the Vao church, and the race will finish in the magnificent Kanuméra Bay, in front of the Nataïwatch lodge. It promises to be a great challenge with friendly moments centered around sporting values.

In the evening, a buffet will be available. After this intense first day, Sunday will be dedicated to relaxation and enjoying the island and its activities: snorkeling in Kanuméra Bay, leisure time in Kuto, or exploring the natural pool in Oro! There’s nothing better to conclude the weekend.

Good to know

While the adults are sweating it out, the little ones can be taken care of at the starting point. Indeed, a daycare service is offered at the Vao church, and then the children are transported to the race’s finish line by the organizing committee. This service will be payable directly on-site, 1000 F XPF/child.

Flight Schedule Change – Monday, July 3rd

Due to the indefinite general strike notice issued by the inter-union of the local public service, the company is obliged to modify its flight schedule for July 3rd and 4th, in accordance with the minimum service defined by the Civil Aviation Authority.

All affected passengers will be notified via SMS or email using the contact information provided at the time of booking, and transfer solutions for the same day will be offered to them.

The company is making every effort to minimize the inconveniences caused by this situation, which is beyond its control, and thanks its passengers for their understanding.

A BEAUTIFUL SUCCESS FOR THE FIRST EDITION OF THE TRAIL AIR CALÉDONIE D’OUVÉA

This weekend, the very first edition of the Trail Air Calédonie d’Ouvéa was organized. Orchestrated by our partner Challenge Organisation, this great premiere attracted nearly a hundred participants.

Impressive performances in both races

The runners were able to compete in two race formats: the Mini Raid, covering nearly 10 km, starting from the bridge and finishing at the Mouli tribe. Guillaume Cases finished in first place, followed by Romain Rotondi and Simon Thiry in 50’12”.

The most experienced athletes started at 6:30 am and competed in the Grand Raid, a 20 km race. In this format, Eric Concé, who had already won the Raid Air Calédonie of the Isle of Pines last year, took first place. Benjamin Dockes finished in second place just over a minute later. The podium was completed by Sébastien Fernandes.

In addition to these two races, a family course was also offered so that both young and old could participate in this wonderful sporting event.

 

 

Congratulations to all participants!

Held in parallel with the Lagoon Festival, the participants were also invited to take part in this beautiful event. The athletes were able to learn more about Ouvéa and the island’s activities, including tasting local cuisine, discovering tourist activities, and enjoying cultural performances.

Air Calédonie is proud to have been able to contribute to the success of this major event organized by its partner, Challenge Organisation. The day concluded with a friendly meal and the awarding of prizes to the winners, provided by the company.

All the runners were able to leave Ouvéa with a small gift bearing the colors of Air Calédonie to congratulate them on their participation.

For operational reasons, the company is compelled to modify the flight schedule for Wednesday, June 7th.

As a result, the following flights are canceled:

TY505 to Koné, scheduled departure at 06:50 AM;
TY506 to Nouméa from Koné, scheduled departure at 08:05 AM;
TY203 to Lifou, scheduled departure at 09:30 AM;
TY204 to Nouméa from Lifou, scheduled departure at 10:40 AM;
TY211 to Lifou, scheduled departure at 12:40 PM;
TY212 to Nouméa from Lifou, scheduled departure at 01:50 PM.

Anticipate your excess baggage to optimize their handling!

In order to better meet your needs and improve our services, the company is evolving its baggage policy. This evolution contributes to enhancing the customer journey and simplifying baggage management.

Additionally, to mitigate the consequences of transporting extra weight, the option to purchase excess baggage at the check-in counter will be suspended starting from July 1st. We kindly ask you to ensure compliance with the baggage allowances allocated per passenger and to plan ahead for any excess baggage by subscribing to the additional baggage option (available directly online in your account) or by using the freight service.

  • TY306 from Ouvéa to Nouméa, scheduled departure at 08:20 AM;
  • TY515 to Koné, scheduled departure at 2:50 PM;
  • TY516 from Koné to Nouméa, scheduled departure at 04:05 PM;
  • TY215 to Lifou, scheduled departure at 6:10 PM;
  • TY216 from Lifou to Nouméa, scheduled departure at 7:20 PM.

The company is doing everything possible to readjust its schedule in order to rebook affected passengers as soon as possible. However, modifications to the initial flight schedule for the weekend are expected.

Affected passengers will be notified by SMS and/or email using the contact information provided at the time of booking.
